Boa Amponsem Senior High School (Boass)

Boa Amponsem Senior High School (Boass) was established in September 1961 and it was known as Dunkwa Secondary School. It was renamed Boa Amponsem Secondary School in September 1976 after one of the illustrious and famous Paramount chiefs in Denkyira, Namely Boa Amponsem III. The school which is a co-educational (mixed school) has boarding facilities for both girls and boys.

KEYS STATATISTICS
STUDENTS POPULATION: The present students population now is about two thousand eight hundred (2800) with 2000 being boarders while 800 are day students it has a total number of 1200 girls and 1600 boys.

RANKING AND PROGRAMMES

Boa Amponsem Senior High School currently which ranks as category is school according to Ghana Education (Service G.E.S) ratings runs five major programme namely, General Arts, General Science, Business, Home Economics and Visual Arts.
Teaching and Non-Teaching staff: Currently the school has hundred and four (104) teaching staff and eighty one (81) Non Teaching staff.
It must be noted with satisfaction that Boa Amponsem Senior High School (BOASS) places high premium on academic excellence and has over the years produced many sons and daughters who are holding very notable key positions in various sectors of the country. A side fulfilling this core mandate, the school has a rich history of being a force to reckon with in sporting activities.

Our mission is in line with the mission statement of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports (MOESS), i.e.To provide relevant education to all Ghanaians at all levels to enable them acquire skills that will assist them to develop their potentials, to be productive to facilitate poverty reduction and to promote socio-economic growth and national development.
